US-101 runs along Morgan Hill's east side with interchanges at Cochrane Road, Dunne Avenue and Tennant Avenue, and Monterey Road, the old highway, runs parallel through downtown. Butterfield Boulevard carries much of the business traffic, Hale Avenue and Santa Teresa Boulevard run along the west side, and Watsonville Road leads southwest toward SR-152 and the coast.
Many businesses here have room for a yard, and trucks often sleep on fenced lots in the industrial areas between Monterey Road and US-101 or at owners' rural properties. A truck parked at a ranch or in a driveway is generally rated there, so the schedule should say which.
Most of the region's work lies north, so many Morgan Hill trucks put real miles on US-101 every week; Gilroy and San Martin sit just south, and south county dump work has its own page in Gilroy dump truck insurance. The Silicon Valley fleet insurance page covers the wider South Bay.
County roads east and west of town, such as East Dunne Avenue toward Anderson Reservoir and Watsonville Road, have narrow shoulders and slow farm equipment, and a loaded trailer needs extra room on roads like these.
