The I-15 is Temecula's main line, running north to the I-215 split in Murrieta and south past Rainbow into San Diego County. SR-79 serves both ends of town: Winchester Road heads northeast toward French Valley and Hemet, and Temecula Parkway runs southeast toward Pechanga and Aguanga. Rancho California Road climbs east into wine country, where two-lane roads carry work trucks, tasting-room traffic and the occasional vineyard tractor.
Old Town's streets are tight for trucks, and a box truck making a restaurant stop there may have to unload from the curb, which is where minor backing claims and door strikes tend to happen. A spotter rule for deliveries in crowded blocks costs little.
Many Temecula contractors run from home, so pickups and trailers sleep in driveways and side yards across the city and in Murrieta, Menifee and French Valley, while shops and yards cluster in the business parks west of the I-15. Long commutes are common: A crew working in Escondido, Riverside or Orange County puts real miles on the truck before the workday starts, and underwriters are likely to ask about radius and hours.
The Inland Empire fleet page covers the rest of the region, and a fleet safety and claims plan built around dashcams tends to pay off most on those long I-15 commutes.
